OUR PHILOSOPHY

The Deal Maker Ethos

OC deal makers believe relationships should be genuine, introductions meaningful, and professionalism the standard, not the exception.

This organization is built on three pillars:

A minimalist icon of a gold-colored suitcase with a handle and wheels.

Professionalism

We show up with integrity, clarity, and respect.
Every time.

Simple line drawing of a handshake, symbolizing agreement or partnership.

Reciprocal Altruism

When we elevate others, we elevate us.
That rising tide lifts all ships.

Simple black and gold concentric circle target design

Intentionality

We don’t toss out random leads.
We create opportunities that convert.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Thoughtfulness. Curation. True Collaboration

Deal Makers is not BNI. It’s not LaTip. Or even Provisors. It’s also not a giant banquet where you’re lucky to speak for 30 seconds.

Meetings structured for depth:

Curated: members are hand-vetted for integrity and alignment

Selective: one discipline per chapter

Professional: no charlatans, no flakes

Highly collaborative: we work for each other

Small by design: under 20 per chapter

Deal Makers is the room where serious professionals finally feel at home

FOUNDER PROFILE

Meet Socrates Jaen

Professional headshot of a man with dark hair, glasses, wearing a dark suit jacket and white shirt, smiling against a dark background.

For years, Socrates Jaen saw the same problem everywhere: brilliant professionals trapped in lifeless networking groups producing nothing. Rooms filled with chatter but poor results. People collecting business cards and talking themselves up instead of building lasting relationships.

In response, Socrates created Dealmakers. His goal was simple: build a circle who cared enough to work for each other.

As an evangelical pastor and principled leader, Socrates protects the group’s integrity with a shepherd’s instinct. He believes in accountability and human connection. He refuses to allow toxicity or carelessness.

“Being a Deal Maker isn’t about joining a group. It’s about who you become.”
