  • David is the Managing Director of Kraj Advisory LLC, where he helps owners and CEOs tackle the big decisions head-on: strategy, succession, governance, and growth. He works through three channels — serving on advisory boards, providing one-on-one founder counsel, and leading strategic projects — across industries including manufacturing, distribution, retail, aerospace and defense, food and beverage, professional services, engineering and environmental, and construction. If it involves building, making, or moving things, David has probably advised someone in that space.

    What sets David apart is not just what he knows — it is how he shows up. He is known for his passion, his tireless energy, and a growth-focused intensity that clients feel from the first conversation. He does not deliver binders and disappear. He rolls up his sleeves, treats every client’s business like his own, and stays in the fight until the work moves the needle. His superpower is bringing an outside perspective that creates clarity without asking owners to give up control — helping them see what they are too close to see, holding the organization accountable, and driving value whether the end goal is keeping the business for the next generation or positioning it for a transaction.

  • David earned that perspective the hard way. He spent more than fifty years with SingerLewak LLP, a national top 100 CPA firm, including forty-three years as a partner. He opened the firm’s Orange County office and built it from scratch. He served on the Executive Committee and was appointed Managing Partner — a role he held for twelve years during which he tripled the firm’s revenue and dramatically expanded its geographic footprint. He also personally counseled dozens of partners through every stage of firm life: recruiting them in, developing them through their careers, and managing their exits. It is rare to find an advisor who has navigated that many high-stakes transitions from the inside. David has lived it.

    His leadership extended well beyond the firm. David served on the board and as chair of both the North American and World regions of the accounting profession’s third- largest global association, giving him a network that spans industries and continents.

    Today, David serves on the advisory boards of Diamond Mattress, Discount Tire and Service Center, and W Machine Works, alongside individual engagements with several additional clients. Every relationship starts the same way: get close to the business, understand what the owner is really trying to build, give honest counsel even when it is uncomfortable, and never stop pushing toward the goal.
