Eddie Darmawan is the Founder and Chief Security Officer of D1 Defend, an IT managed security service provider based in Ontario, California. Since 1997, Eddie has combined his passion for technology with his belief that small and mid-sized businesses are the backbone of America. Because of this, he carries a deep responsibility to defend business owners and safeguard their most valuable assets from cyber threats.
His career has spanned pivotal moments in technology—from helping migrate Los Angeles courthouses during Y2K, to weathering the dot-com bubble with one of the first free internet service providers, to supporting a national bank through the financial crisis.
Through D1 Defend, Eddie helps businesses simplify the complexities of IT and Cybersecurity, defending what matters, so they can grow with confidence. Outside of his professional work, Eddie serves in the board for Putera Indonesia Sejahtera, a nonprofit in Jakarta, Indonesia, dedicated to creating God given opportunities for underserved communities by educating the next generation.
