Jan is a seasoned asset-based (ABL) finance executive with over 25 years of debt capital raises for lower & mid-market companies, providing business capital solutions to high growth companies, as well as those in turn-around.

Her current role as Senior Vice President – ABL Business Lending Officer with SLR Business Credit positions her as a working capital solution provider when a company’s traditional commercial bank is unable to provide new or additional working capital. SLR Business Credit supports growth, working capital, and acquisition financing across a broad range of industries. ABL focuses on the assets of the company, using a company’s AR, Inventory, PO’s and Equipment as collateral. She has an affinity for middle market companies because she has been an entrepreneur herself and understands the competitive landscape and internal/external pressures CEO’s face daily.
Jan provides working capital to accelerate growth and maximize value, for strategic organic growth and/or acquisitions. SLR BC’s working capital loan structures are creative and flexible, beginning at $1MM and going up to $300MM+. Jan works with privately held and public companies and PE/Venture-sponsored companies. Industries include: manufacturing, distribution, service companies, food/beverage, staffing, transportation, healthcare provides and digital media – anyone creating a B2B receivable.

Jan started her career as a real estate appraiser, commercial workout asset manager and capital markets executive for Mercury Savings & Loan. Stints at large companies like Finance America, AMRESCO, Inc., and Lehman Brothers lead her to co-found new lending entities including Fortis Financial, a national mortgage-lending platform backed by two private equity firms. Jan has helped shape the vision of many of her company clients with the goal of delivering both expert financial strategy and attainable capital.
