Soeren Aarup is a Merger & Acquisition Advisor with BusinessQuest Brokers, Inc., advising owners of privately held companies on business valuations, strategic exits, and sell-side & transactions. He works closely with founders and entrepreneurs to help them maximize enterprise value and successfully transition ownership.
Soeren is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor® (CM&AA) through the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors® (AM&AA) and currently serves as Chair of the AM&AA Southern California Chapter, where he helps connect business owners, private equity groups, and transaction professionals throughout the region.
He brings more than 20 years of international financial leadership experience across manufacturing, distribution, retail, and recycling industries, having worked with both privately held and publicly traded companies in the United States and Europe. Throughout his career, Soeren has partnered directly with owners, founders, and executive teams to improve operational performance, execute turnarounds, and unlock significant enterprise value.
At BusinessQuest Brokers, Soeren combines his financial and operational background with the firm’s proven transaction process and over two decades of business brokerage and M&;A advisory experience. He specializes in helping middle-market and lower-middle-market business owners confidentially market their companies, identify qualified buyers, negotiate favorable terms, and successfully close transactions.
Soeren is known for his analytical rigor, strategic insight, and disciplined deal execution, ensuring that sellers are fully prepared for the transaction process and positioned to achieve the best possible outcome for their business and legacy.

Prior to joining BusinessQuest, Soeren served as a Strategic Business Advisor and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for privately held businesses, where he led initiatives focused on financial optimization, growth strategy, and exit preparation. His deep financial expertise allows him to translate complex financial performance into clear value drivers for buyers and investors.
